So I started with the 'help' section on the software, then I've hunted around the desktop, the hard drive, then I've looked in preferences (no storage folder indicated), I tried 'open', I've been hunting around this form, I've scanned through 3 pages of FAQ and I've searched 'purchases' on the forum and yet I still can't find where the templates are stored that I downloaded when I purchased the suite of software.

I've looked at 'my account' and it confirms a tick against what I'm interested in, so I try to click on it thinking it will open (sensible option), but no I am at a loss to find them.

Do you think it might be of benefit to make it blindingly obvious where brushes, templates and other assets are stored for both Mac and PC users? It has been a waste of a few frustrating hours before writing this and I hate the fact that my first post here is a moan.

Oh so now after hours I've found the templates. Not in a directory so I can quickly flip through to see a preview, nor a scroll down menu, but only when I create a new document.

Thanks. Can I make a suggestion that it would be great to open these from within 'my account'. If it has a tick beside it, then it would be much simpler to do this.

Anyway, I've answered my own question.

Welcome to the forums Blobby,

No need to apologize. You solved your problem and you posted that you solved it plus you made a suggestion for an improvement. This will help others when they look for answers to the same problem.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

*.aftemplate files that came from Affinity Store purchases should be in an automatically created "Affinity Store" section of the File > New > Templates window. Each of them should have a small preview in the center section of that window & a larger one on the right if you select one of them.

Previews work the same for any other folder containing *.aftemplate files you have added to the Templates section via the "Add Folder" button.
