Hi everyone,

I created a book cover in Affinity Publisher and exported it as a PDF/X-4 file.
The company that does the book printing sees a stroke that I don’t see in Affinity Publisher and in PDF Expert.
I exported the layered file as well as a version after merging the layers (except the text).

Any idea on what is going on here?

Best regards,
Dees

Hi @dees’artand Welcome to the Forums,

Could you attach the .afpub file for this or upload it to our Dropbox here and i'll be able to see what's causing that.  Make sure the images are embedded, you can this via the Resource Manager on the Document menu.

... or package and zip the project, so that EVERYTHING is complete.

Okay I've found the problem, its the embedded PSD file.  When you open the exported PDF in Acrobat and use the Output Preview, you see stroke.  A quick workaround for this, in Publisher, right click the embedded PSD Layer and select Rasterise, then export to PDF.  This then previews without the stroke present.  Rasterise does mean its no longer seen as an embedded document and is seen as a image.

I'll get this logged for further investigation :)

Don't know if this will work but I double clicked on the PSD file and flattened it with the Photo Persona. The reason I did that is there was some sort of shadow and offset with it.

Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I double clicked on Luisterkind2.psd then used the crop tool to limit the left and bottom edges to the page size. PDF'd and it's ok in Chrome whereas the original showed the line
