Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Soheil. :)

Depending on your display settings there may not be enough screen height to display all the tools in a single column, but you can customize the tools to display them in two (or more!) columns.

By "color select thing" do you mean the Color Picker Tool or the two overlapping color wells that appear at the bottom of the Tols panel when it is set to show 2 or more columns?

On Windows, when the user Undocks the Tools, they automatically reconfigure to become 2-column.

Whenever the Tools are 2-column (because they are Undocked, or because the user has customized them to show in 2 columns) the color wells are shown at the bottom.

I'm not sure what the default for Macs is but I can configure the Tools panel when either docked or undocked to have 1 or more columns.

True. But I believe the default (on Windows) is 1-column if docked, and 2 if undocked. (I have not done a full reset to confirm that, but I've tried it in the betas where, as far as I can remember, I've never undocked and configured the Tools.)

That default would give the appearance to a new user that when docked the color wells are missing, but when undocked they are present.

Ok that was the problem, i guess you need to have to tools in two columns to have the color wells show up, would be nice if they worked in one column as well but oh well, Thanx!

I assume it is not available because one column is not wide enough for full sized versions of both wells, the 'no color' button, & the switch colors button.
