AntoniaB Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Hi, I have a problem with imported pdf's when I want to export the file. I have created pdfs in Canva (US letter size) & have imported them into Affinity Publisher for the content on my planner pages using a frame for each. When I go to export the document to pdf, I am being told that the pdf version I have imported is not compatible & will be rasterised (please see screenshot below). I haven't come across this problem before & am not sure how to rectify it - Can anyone help me solve this situation? Many thanks! Quote

This warning is issued due to your settings in the Preflight Profile you are using. In this profile there is a check for PDF Passthrough compatibilty. I believe that the calculation there is not correct. If I place a PDF-1.4 and preflight checks for PDF/X-1a:2003 you'll get this warning, although the exported file with PDF/X-1a:2003 uses PDF-1.4. Option A: Change the compatibility in your preflight profile or switch the check off. Option B: Ignore the warning and carefully check the output. Question for the PDF professionals here: Isn't PDF-1.4 upward compatible, as it is the lowest version we can export?
