Floriance Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 What is this? I opened my existing Affinity Designer document what I have modified every now and then. Now, today I could not save it because it is read only. How did that happen? Of course, I saved it with a different name, but I would like to know what is this read only thing and why. I am the only one who use this computer. Mac Mini M1 / MacOs Big Sur 11.4 / Affinity Designer 1.9.3 Hamza Abu Muhammad 1 Quote

Check while in the Finder using the Get Info about that file. See if it is locked. Or it could be changed down at the bottom. The change at the bottom can happen if you are in a different User account. My setup is that day to day (99.9% of the time) I run in a User Account (without Administrator Privileges). It is possible to create files in a User Account that will not be Read & Write for another User Account. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Floriance Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 I checked all those are ok. Not locked, and I have rights to read & write. But, the strange thing is that now I can save. Seems that it was some temporary mystery. I opened again that same earlier document (not re-named), and now I can save. Quote
