Sagar Siwach Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Hello Everyone, I was unaware about the forumn, so I had first posted my Issues on Reddit. They had guided me to this Place. Let me begin with Context, I am a Graphic Designer who had used CorelDraw for almost 10 Years, For the Past 04 Years I had shifted to Adobe XD and then to Figma as my work description had changed and coreldraw, Photoshop were not the right tools. After using Figma, I could not work on CorelDraw again, the Experience in Figma Spoiled me and I started using it for my other Publishing and Printing Designs as well. Yes there were limitations but 80% of the Tools and Workflow was present and I hardly faced difficulties. I purchased a M1 Mac this year in February, and then could not have used CorelDraw because it is not designed for a Mac so then decided to move to Affinity. Now dont get me wrong, Affinity is a piece of cake and a very beautifully designed software. However these certain workflow experience can take it to the next step. Dimensional Workflow In Figma, we usually work on grids and align all of the elements through dimensions. Figma provides with a Snap on Vertical and horizontal spacing and when we are resizing an element through the handles dimensioning adapts to the other shapes present on the artboard. Layout System (Auto Layout), now Many Designers think that its not required for the people who arent prototyping but believe me this tool makes it a breeze for anyone to create pixel perfect Designs and not have to worry about the dimensions Overall, this Software is going to last with me throughout my career as I will still be using workarounds to these shortcomings. However these small QoL changes are what makes an already good software, the best. Quote

There are snapping options available which might work for you, View > Snapping Manager. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
