Watermark on image brush -- set colour?

Hi, I have created a basic black PNG watermark and loaded it onto a new image brush. So far so good -- it applies.

My understanding is, as this is a brush, I should be able to set the colour, e.g. white.  But nothing I do changes the colour when I apply the brush.

What am I missing here?

Image brushes have the color of the image. If you want to change colors, try an Intensity brush instead.

Thanks, Walt. But can I put an image (like a watermark) on an intensity brush? How would you do a watermark in Affinity?

Intensity brushes are made from images, too. I can't tell you anything beyond that, as I haven't tried it myself.
