indiana-jonas Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I'm using the latest version of Affinity Designer. 1.9.3. Copy a group containing rasterised/pixel layers, paste it into another document. Go back to the original document and try to copy another group, Affinity crashes. It happens for me every time. If I restart Affinity all the documents I had open are still open. If I try to copy something again I get a crash. Sometimes closing all open documents and quitting the software resolves it temporarily. macOS Big Sur, 11.4 MacBook Pro (13", 2020) 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 32 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB I think this always happened. My friend had the same problem but worse on a Windows computer. Quote
Staff Sean P Posted June 30, 2021 Staff Posted June 30, 2021 Hi indiana-jonas, Do you use a Clipboard Manager at all? We're aware of a crash that can occur when copying a large amount of data to the clipboard if you're using a clipboard manager. However we do believe this is fixed in the current 1.10.0.1 beta if you wish to give that ago. If that is still a problem, would it be possible for you to get a screen recording showing the steps you're taking and attaching any files you're using to reproduce it please? Quote

I do have a clipboard manager through BetterTouchTool. Could I send you the video recording and file privately? I don't wanna share my project details publicly. It would be nice to try the beta. How do I do that? Quote
Staff Sean P Posted June 30, 2021 Staff Posted June 30, 2021 Thanks for getting back to me - you could try disabling your clipboard manager temporarily and see if that stops the crashing, however it would be best to try the beta version which you can download from here (it runs alongside the retail, however I would advise working on copies of file in the beta - see the thread). Give the beta a go and let me know if that is still crashing - if it is then I can get you a link to send the files privately. Quote

Makes me really happy. :- ) Any idea when it will be available as a stable release? MattP 1 Quote
