John Rostron Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 How do I ungroup layers in Publisher? I have a newsletter and I have a textbox for the article title/author and another for the main article text. I somehow have managed to get the article textbox as a layer within the title textbox. I want to be able to move these two textboxes independently. I have tried the recommended procedures to Ungroup in the Help file but: I cannot see any option to Ungroup in the Context Toolbar. In the Layer menu, the Ungroup option is greyed-out. (I cannot screengrab this.) John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). Joachim_L Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 In your case you pinned one text frame into another and did not group. Use the Pinning Panel to unpin. John Rostron Posted June 29, 2021 Author Posted June 29, 2021 Thanks @Joachim_L That solved the problem. I am just left wondering how I managed to pin the one text frame within another. I must keep a lookout for the telltale symbol to the right of the layer name. John Joachim_L 1 Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo).
