GoodGameKitty Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I'm making a bunch of playing cards for a card game my company is developing. Each page of the document is a different card. I have the Transparent Background box in Document Setup checked, but every time I try to export the cards to PNG images, they end up with a white border around the corners. How do I get this to stop happening? Document Settings: Export Settings: Cards end up with white corners instead of being transparent: Quote

You must have something there that is solid to produce that filled area. I have a background rectangle, rounded, but as you can see in this screenshot below, the corners of the cards ARE showing the white-and-gray transparency checkers: 3 hours ago, walt.farrell said: What application are you using to look at the cards? I've attached a copy of my work file that just has my default card layout. I did notice that, when I exported from this document, the card did show up with transparent corners. Which only makes the matter much more frustrating, because I cannot send the original file, which is STILL having this problem when I export pages as PNGs. EDIT: So I found that if I export one page at a time, the cards will retain their transparent corners, it's when I export multiple cards at a time that the issue occurs. Seeing as how I have 166 cards to export (with more on the way), this is still an issue. sample for troubleshooting.afpub Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 I tried but could not get anything but a transparent PNG file for one, or many pages. (make sure in your preferences you set it to show two or more decimal places). I'm not sure how to find this value, I tried looking in Document Setup but I don't see anything. I can tell you that my page is 63.5mm by 88.9mm though, if that helps at all? Quote
Wosven Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 No problem here either after adding image & text in the cards. Can you try keeping only two cards of your bugged document, modify it to get dummy text and images, and post it there for us to test? Quote

This is done by having the Ruler showing and then Right clicking at the intersection up in the top left. GoodGameKitty Posted July 18, 2021 Author Posted July 18, 2021 Hey, just wanted to report that, after a bit of tinkering, this issue only occurs if my computer has been on for more than 24 hours. If I restart my computer, it goes back to exporting transparent images. I have no clue why this is, but at least it's an easy enough fix. Quote
