Good morning,
I have a problem with the node tool in Affinity Designer. I saw a tutorial on the internet how to remove lines between points. On the computer, this is done with the ctrl key, click the mouse on the line and it disappears. I've been looking for a shortcut to do this on the iPad for several days now. I checked, after connecting the keyboard to the iPad, everything works. But is this the only way out of this situation? But is that a shortcut? Hand gesture?

I mean it. When I connect the keyboard to my iPad, I hit ctrl in the node tools panel and touch that dash, it removes it. how to do it without using the keyboard?

Hi @kaczkins,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here!

I can confirm that there doesn't appear to be a modifier that allows for this on the iPad without a keyboard connected - however I'm a little unsure as to whether this is 'By Design' or has simply been overlooked.

I'm going to double check with the team internally and I'll be sure to reply here asap. Many thanks for your understanding!

Thanks for your patience - it's been confirmed to me that this option is only available via the keyboard shortcut currently. I understand this is not ideal as not all iPad users have a keyboard to connect, so our developers are looking at ways to implement this feature using the touch UI only.

I hope this clears things up :)

the only way out is to buy a keyboard? I tried to do this effect by touching the screen with one finger and I was touching the line with a pencil, but nothing happened. in my opinion that would be the best solution. how long can it take to work on this? :)

Currently this is the only option I'm aware of to initiate this shortcut, my apologies!

This certainly sounds similar to the implementation our devs may decide to use here - however unfortunately we aren't able to provide any estimated datesĀ for changes to the Affinity apps.
