I may speak Adobe here, but I hope you all know what I'm talking about in Affinity Photo.

When I'm applying Layer Effects (aka Blending Options in Adobe) somehow the layer mode has gotten itself set to "Multiply" by default and even when I change it BACK to normal, it still sticks on Multiply.  Which is a pain in the bleep.

Is there someplace I can't find where I can set the default back to the default.  lol.  Thanks.

Not a Photoshop user, so i might not fully got your question.

Do you mean layer blend modes, or layer effects (FX) like outer shadow?

Never the less, could you provide screenshots and example file, showing the full Affinity window, including the layer stack and blend mode, so that we can see and possibly reproduce the issue?

Some Layer FX like shadow intentionally use multiply (and black as color) as this is the best default value to get a natural shadow effect.
