I have purchased Affinity Design, Photo and Publisher. In addition I have purchased or otherwise received plug-ins for one or more of those applications and am in the process of downloading them. When I open Design I can find no way to import .afassets files or the Abstract folder and ZIP files within. How do I do this? So, the basic is issue is how to install .afassets files, ZIP files and additionally, .aftemplate files. I have read several times the installation notes and can't find specific information. Please advise.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

If you have a .afassets file, you open the Assets studio panel, click on the Panel Preferences icon (aka "hamburger menu"), and "Import Assets":

Or if the assets are from the Affinity Store, you can have them automatically downloaded and installed using the My Account function if you've registered your application via that function.

For .zip files, you should first unzip the file.

For .aftemplate files, if they're from the Store it's easier to let My Accounts install them, if that option is available. It is for some, but not necessarily all.

If you want to do it manually, you first go to File > New, switch to the Templates section, and establish a folder to hold templates. Then you put your .aftemplate files in that folder:
