Don Beard Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 I am creating a floorplan for several rooms and it is important that I know the precise room size when I am locating fixturing. So I want to change the scale so that when I draw an object, instead of the actual size on the page I can scale them so it will show the dimension of the object. In other words, I simply want to change the scale where for example, 1 inch equals 2 feet so if I draw a rectangle that is 1" x 1", it will show as 2' x 2'. How do I do this? Quote

In days of yore, technical drawings were made by scaling dimensions to a common scale so that the item would fit a certain paper size The CAD approach is to 'draw' everything life size and plot to scale. You can achieve your goals with an Affinity program but you will struggle, none of them resemble Autocad Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
