Yo,

Saw a couple issues about this but no solution forthcoming. I've got a box with some fancy sides that I dont want scaling as the box changes width. Constraints work perfectly fine for this, no problems there.

But, now there's a rectangle of clipping around the sides of the group, and it's cutting off the nice curves I've got. Is there any fix for this yet?

Pictures show the problem (top = clipped), and the source file is attached.

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Aidymouse!

At least I would call that an unexpected behaviour, but I do not know how you did the Constraints Group. Maybe this could help, move the contents of Bar layer temporarily into a new layer, make the Bar layer a bit larger and then move the content back into this layer. HTH

This works! Dragging everything out, then resizing the constraint group, then dragging it all back it works, kind of. It does work in that now it's not getting clipped, but now the box is big so aligning it with anything else is a pain, cos it all snaps to the groups size which is bigger than the actual thing i'm containing.

Bit of a pain, but then again aligning it was a pain to begin with because of how the curves stretch beyond the top of the actual box. :P Maybe it's best to just leave them in constraint groups when editing the document and then removing them from the groups just before export. There's probably a way to make the actual group the perfect size to fit the content within as well. I'll keep tinkering.

Thanks for the help!!

You can use "Point Transform tool" for scaling from special points or locations.
