graphicjack Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 simple: would some kind person be able to explain how to 'break a curve' in Affinity Design. In Adobe Illustrator, I am able to dissect and dismember the pieces of paths on any shape — I'm struggling to do this in Designer. Quote
GarryP Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Welcome to the forums @graphicjack What you are asking for could be done many ways depending on what you have and what you want to do with the results afterwards. Can you give us a visual idea of what you have and what you want to do so we can advise on the best technique(s). “Breaking a curve” could mean something as simple as using the Node Tool to create a new node and then using “Break Curve” on the context toolbar but it could also mean something much more complex. graphicjack Posted June 27, 2021 Author Posted June 27, 2021 Thank you. Believe it or not, you actually answered my problem! New to Affinity. One more question. How do you covert a complete shape (of nodes) into a lasso type marquee in Affinity photo 🙃 Quote
Wosven Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Hi @graphicjack, On the context tool bar (on top of the tabs), you'll have a button "Selection" to convert your path to selection. Quote
graphicjack Posted June 27, 2021 Author Posted June 27, 2021 Hi Wosven, i can't see anything in Affinity Photo that says "Selection" Quote
