Andreas134 Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Dear Affinity Support, the upgrade installation of 1.9.2 over version 1.9.1 was successfully completed. Unfortunately the new version 1.9.2 of Publisher crashed right after startup on my Windows 7 computer. Attached you will find a screen shot with some more details. And by the way, Designer and Photo 1.9.2 also crashes after upgrade with the same behavior. Thanks a lot for your help and looking forward to hear from you soon. Staff Gabe Posted June 30, 2021 Staff Posted June 30, 2021 Hi @Andreas134, Welcome to the forums. Can you try and install the latest beta and see if that crashes too? https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/58-publisher-beta-on-windows/ Quote
Andreas134 Posted July 3, 2021 Author Posted July 3, 2021 Dear Gabe, I tried the beta version 1.10.0.1098 of publisher. Unfortunately this version crashed also. Thank you for your attention and your help to find a solution. Regards form Berlin, Andreas Quote
walt.farrell Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 In other topics the Serif staff have suggested that you need some additional Windows 7 updates to run 1.9.2, but they had not yet been able to figure out what. You might check Windows Update and see if there are any updates you're missing, and if so install them. Other than that you may have to revert to 1.9.1. You can find a copy at https://affinity.store/update/windows/publisher/1 if you don't have one saved locally. Andreas134 Posted July 4, 2021 Author Posted July 4, 2021 Dear Walt, thank you very much for your tips. I know that my Windows 7 is quite a bit outdated but the best OS from Microsoft. I will try on another Win7 computer (fully patched) if this can help. Have a great day and best regards from Berlin, Andreas Quote
