Kind of a long winded question.  So I’m doing astrophotography and storing my photos on a usb drive ( sandisk with iPad connection on one side).  Files are raw fits.   The issue I’m having is that when I transfer the photos to the iPad they go to a file folder not the photo app.  I’m guessing because the photo app on apple doesn’t open fits.  But that would be ok.  However. Affinity does not let you search files. It has photo app and icloud.  So basically I have the photos on the iPad but cannot access them.  Is there a work around for this?

I just tested it with "open from cloud"...worked fine - I dont use icloud and save many photos in "files"

Thanks for trying. The files are grayed out and can’t be opened. Must be the fits format   I guess affinity for iPad is not ready for fit

Even on the desktop versions, .fits files must be opened via File > New Astrophotography Stack in 1.9, not via File > Open. And the Astrophotography Stack function is not in the iPad version of Photo.
