Dan C Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Hi @Alex Dox, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Can you please confirm for me, do you have a custom ICC profile set against your monitor, through your operating system? Could you also please provide a copy of the exported PDF for me? Many thanks in advance! Alex Dox 1 Quote
Alex Dox Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 ok thanks sir I contact with support on kdp and they request me to create CMYK I do that but the problem still appear I mean colors. I have last message from they I will show it to you This is what they said to me "I do see the differences between the two images you included, but when I checked the online print previewer on the KDP book setup, the darker green you see in the thumbnail is visible as well in the previewer. I also see the difference between what the previewer shows for your cover and the PDF file you uploaded. There is likely an issue or issues in your cover PDF file that is causing the difference in the file processing to occur. When I'm looking at your PDF file, I'm noticing that there appear to be unflattened transparencies. Transparencies or "layers" are created in the native file, sometimes unintentionally and sometimes to create a visual effect. When the file is converted to PDF, the transparencies do not always flatten as they should. Transparencies can cause the file to fail at the printer. They can also cause the file to print with missing or distorted content. To prevent this, flatten all transparent objects and layers in the native program while creating your file. Additionally, the cover should be designed to use the CMYK color profile. Most digital images are created in RGB (red, green, and blue, the colors a digital screen use to display images) but for printing purposes, the cover should be designed to use CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, the colors used for ink printing a physical format)" Pdf.pdf Quote
Fixx Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Isn't the issue simply that CMYK cannot present such bright green colours as it has insufficient gamut in certain colours. Alex Dox 1 Quote
