Hi,

All 3 of the programs - publisher, photo and designer are not linking up and have been reinstalling the programs regularly and now its getting beyond a joke.

Yes i have tried studio link and it doesn't link anything to them. it only recognises the programs individually.

Is there a step by step video on this to get it done?

On Mac, I don't know for sure about Windows.

Studio link requires Photo and Designer to be run before Publisher is run. It also requires each of the three to be in the Applications' folder on the computer's hard drive. Studiolink is available only from Publisher.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

To clarify slightly, you only need to run AP & AD once each before Studio Link in APub will work. They do not need to be run again or be running after that.

Also, I think it is no longer necessary that all 3 apps are at the top level of the Applications folder, but I am not sure about that.

You should not have to reinstall anything, unless maybe they are not currently installed in the top level of the Applications folder. So before doing anything else, try this:

  1. Quit APub.
  2. Launch AD & then quit it.
  3. Do the same for AP.
  4. Now launch APub again

This should allow you to switch to the APub Designer & Photo personas, which is what Studio Link enables.

Thanks for that. Did everything you said and still unsuccessful. Please note that I am using a mac. This screen appears as per attachment. If there is another way could somebody please advise. I have now been working on this for the past 48 hours with zero success. Appreciate Affinity making me want to appreciate the downloading and having it on my system however am becoming somewhat tired of their pranking me. It was funny for the first 36 hours but now im about to get the hammer out and completely destroy my mac. Apart from that everything is great. Please see my screen shot below. Thanks.

Disregard last message. I now have them linked. Only drama is that I am having trouble trying to have them remain in the dock as when i turn off my mac and start i have to reinstall all the programs again. Im guessing there is an easy solution to this?

Where did you purchase from? If from the Affinity Store my guess would be that you've never actually installed the applications, but have simply run them from within their DMG files.

Are they in the computer's hard drive's Applications folder?
