threevillages Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 i have been using Publisher successfully for months without problems to create a multipage magazine consisting of text and pictures. suddenly, after the most recent software upgrade, many of the pictures received by my professional printer are corrupt and unusable. i have also found that internally processed images are also corrupt. What can be wrong or has changed? Quote

Do you mean you can't open them or something else? Please explain in detail what problem(s) you are having Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. threevillages Posted June 24, 2021 Author Posted June 24, 2021 "corrupt" as in blurred and double images when opened. my commercial printer refuses to accept them lest they injure his reputation by their poor quality. Quote
threevillages Posted June 24, 2021 Author Posted June 24, 2021 the prime document is too big to send by ordinary means. the master copy of something that was distorted in translation is of itself undamaged so am not sure what to send you . the 2GB limit on this site is insufficient for this purpose. I attach a sample that did not translate readily and had to be reset. we suspected that the photos were taken by a smart phone so lacked sufficient definition. *wel primary report RETT.docx Quote

If the images in your Publisher document are linked files and your link to them is broken you will see low-res versions (blurred?) of the images when you open your document. If you then export this, as say a PDF file, and send that to your printer, he will also only see low-res (and be able to print) low-res versions of your images Could this be what is happening?
