Stacie Ma
Hi! I have been using Affinity Photo on iPad Pro for over a year and I have experienced a very frustrating bug when I import RAW images from my Canon DLSR for quite some time. It manifests in the form of a rectangle in the bottom left of an image that appears to be a zoomed in portion of the overall image. This mostly happens with stacking, but also happens with single images. This only occurs within Affinity (it looks fine directly within the iPad gallery) I have attached an image as an example. Please help! Thanks! Stacie
Staff Chris B Posted June 24, 2021 Staff Share Posted June 24, 2021 Hey Stacie Ma, We really need the raw file here. If you could attach it, that would be grand. FWIW I can’t fault it on my 10.5 iPad using AP beta and either serif or Apple raw engines. Tried stacking it using the same image 3 times. Still no issue. Maybe hardware related? Staff Chris B Posted June 24, 2021 Staff Share Posted June 24, 2021 I can't reproduce this either. I've tried both Serif Labs and Apple Core as the raw engine. I'm using a 2017 iPad Pro. Stacie, can you try changing the raw engine in Preferences > General > Assistant Options and let me know if anything changes please. Stacie Ma
Hi Chris, I have changed apple core to serif labs and that solved the problem. Thanks a lot for your help. Kind regards Stacie Chris B
M Dewey
I was also getting this occasionally with the Apple raw core (1.10.5 on M1 iPad Pro), but it wasn’t reproducible, I’d reopen the same image and it would be gone. I’ve switched to the Serif Labs raw core and haven’t seen it come up yet so far.
