hkartte Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 I've browsed other people's questions with the same/similar issue but still can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Not sure if there's something I'm not getting... This happens with any pattern I rotate - even 4 vector squares placed together. I like to use vectors for patterns - and I export them as PDF for the type of work I do. When they aren't rotated there aren't any lines when I export, but I sometimes like to rotate them because of the way it looks. But it looks like the pixels aren't opaque. The coverage map doesn't work with vectors when I export them. I don't like to rasterize my vector patterns either. I tried importing a pre-designed repeat pixel pattern and then adjusted the coverage map accordingly and the white lines disappeared. But I like to use vectors - so how do I make my patterns seamless? Thank you for your help. Quote
firstdefence Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 I think this is more to do with antialiasing than actual fault, so it displays these fine lines but if printed they don't show. I think this could be tested if a seamless pattern that show lines in Affinity were to be opened in such and Illustrator would the lines still show or would Illustrators display antialiasing do a better job. firstdefence Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 That is obvious, any chance you can upload the file for us to look at?
