Sorry, only got a picture from my phone. i'm still a novice but how can i get the yellow and pink rectangles to line up with the edge of the black triangle. I'm sure it's something really simple

In the Layers panel:

Group the rectangles (select them all, then Ctrl + G).

Put the triangle above them.

Drag the thumbnail of the triangle over the thumbnail of the group of rectangles.

This will clip the group to the triangle.

(If you want to see the black triangle, copy it and put it below the other layers.)
