Noob
The Vanishing Point Filter in PhotoShop makes it very easy to accurately map objects to perspective. Perhaps a new "Mode" option in the existing Perspective Tool can be added to mimic the behavior. OR for a more comprehensive approach, a Vanishing Point persona can be added, allowing greater control and precision. Either way, this would be a great addition. Any thoughts? anonymized2 and anon1

Noob
@MBd agree that a Persona would be a bit too much. However, a "Mode" option called Match Beneath could be added to the existing Perspective Tool. Essentially, this would allow users to draw the perspective grid and match the selected layer to the imediate layer beneath it. For example, Layer 1 is a photo of an angled wall and Layer 2 is an image of a clock. With Layer 2 selected, you draw the perspective grid to match the angle of Layer 1 and select the option to "Match Beneath". The content of Layer 2 will then map to the perspective beneath it. Also, and option to do this "non-destructively" would useful.
