Make a number (50) out of different pictures

Hello,

I would like to make a gift: The 50 (birthday) out of different pictures. 
I think of segments in the number that let shine through each a different picture...

It works with the number at a whole, but not with segments, any ideas?

I do not find a polygon-form, that I could draw and change to a mask...

You can position multiple image layers inside the text layer to get what is in my attached image.
If you only need part of the images then you can put those images inside rectangles and then put the rectangles inside the text, like I have done with the house image.
If you want something else – I don’t know what you mean by “segments” – then we may need a visual example.

There are specific apps for making mosaics. If you search these forums you will find a thread about it that has a list of some free apps you can use to do this easily.

These are the segments... each segment will be a litte hint for a present...

Ah, I see; thanks for the extra information.
Just out of curiosity, why have you added masks to the numbers? Or is that for something else?
