Hi Everyone,

New to the forum and Affinity Photo & this topic may have already been covered but I'm unable to find it so far. The Affinity Photo Help indicates that what I want to do is definitely possible, but it's badly lacking any assistance on HOW to do it (Hey Affinity How about some Step by Step tutorials??)

I have an image of some Japanese Kanji in Black (attached) and I want to put a Gold outline around the Kanji, similar to the Apple image in Photo Help. Is anyone able to provide a Step by Step tutorial so I can finish this little project? I've used Adobe Photoshop for several years at the basic of basic levels and am by no means an advanced user.

Hi and welcome to the forums @shukokainr,

The Quickest way is to first go to Filters > Colours > Erase White Paper on the layer with the Kanji. Now use a Layer Effect called Outline.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
