Unable to use small rectangular selection

I was unable to make  small rectangular selection - I could make the selection but if I let the mouse button go the selection kept disappearing.  It too some time to realise that the Feather setting was too big.

It might be better to simply allow the small selection when this happens and to ignore the feather value or at least pop up a message saying rectangle is smaller than feather value of xxx rather than relying on the user to figure out that some other setting is causing the selection to just disappear.  

The problem is that while dragging the mouse the selection shows perfectly fine but the moment you let the mouse button go -i.e. stop the selection - the selection box disappears with no indication why.

Not the end of the world but a simple usability fix is all that is required to save people like me an hour 🙂

Hey duncang,

This is a very good suggestion. I checked Photoshop and it gives you a warning message. 

I will feed this back to the developers
