Add animated gif to existing project

Hello.

 

I'm new here, and also kind of new to Affinity. I recently decided to start making NFT art and chose Affinity instead of Photoshop as most people seem to be using. I've come to a time in my recent project where I need to add a small animated gif and I can't find out how. I've done a search at the forum, but most related questions seems to be about "making animated gif in Affiinity". I already have the gif, but when I add it to my project it just shows one frame making it inanimated rather than animated. Is it not possible to add animated objects to a project, or have I just not found out how yet?

The Affinity apps do not support any form of animation, animated GIF's included.
