Removing texture from object in AD

Im trying to remove a texture made up from small random curves from an object using the "subtract" geometry tool but its not working.... this is something I used to do a lot in Ai but here its just not working??

Some object appear to work on outer edge but others are not??

Any help advice appreciated.

Check the Layer > Fill Mode and or try boolean subtract by holding the alt key down as you click on the subtract icon, this creates a compound so it maintains edibility as well.

Hi ra.skill!

 

As far as I understand, you want to make holes in your figure with the texture. This will not work with the Geometry functions because the texture doesn't really consist of vectors. You can try using a mask. But you have to do that in the Pixel Persona.
