MtotheC Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 HI, I'm messing around with Affinity Designer at the moment with their demo mode and I cant seem to swap layers, (for instance move layer one on top of layer two) even though in this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdCZdlRjU1w it was done. The layers aren't locked and I can highlight them, but I just cant get them to move. many thanks Beverlytulk 1

Also, can you press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching the app (from Launchpad) and select Clear from the dialog that will open? Does the issue persist after doing this? Thanks. Magnus_vb Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Hi Works fine as far as I can see. Click and hold on the layer (not the layer name) and drag up until you see a blue rectangular mark over the other layer. Magnus
Staff MEB Posted November 2, 2015 Staff Posted November 2, 2015 HiMtotheC, Seems to be working fine here. Check this clip (no sound) to see how to swap the layers order. If it still doesn't work press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching the app (from Launchpad) and then select Clear from the dialog that will open. MtotheC Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Okay many thanks. Im using a mac trackpad s opposed to a mouse, which may be the issue
Magnus_vb Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Try (if you not already have) to use three fingers on the trackpad. First click to select the layer, then, with three fingers on the trackpad you can now move the layer. When you see the blue mark in right place, just lift the fingers.
