Affinity Photo freezing and sometimes rendering green Pixels

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have some issues while using Affinity Photo for editting. To be honest I'm pretty new to photography and image editting. My problem is, that Affinity Photo is freezing and crashing pretty often, normally a bit futher in the editting process. Maybe my GPU has a problem with Affinity Photo, but to be honest I don't know.

My PC specs: Intel I7-9700k, ddr4 32gb 3000 MHz, Nvidia GTX 1050 ti and it runs on windows 10 pro

The other issue I have, while exporting the final image some random green pixels are rendered. They do render too while I'm zooming in on the image-edit. I'm not sure if it helps but I attached my latest image, If it helps I did some levels adjustments, curve adjustments, denoising, white balance adjustment, RGB curves adjustment, gradiant removal and saturation adjustment.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Lawbengand Welcome to the Forums,

For the crashing, can you try opening Affinity and click Edit>Preferences>Performance and at the bottom of this window is an option for OpenCL, if that's ticked, untick and close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity.  Once restarted, try using the app again and let me know the results.

This may also help stop the green pixel problem but if not, we will need to the files you are using and the workflow you are taking, so we can try to replicate it.
