Designer crashes when I try to place a .tif file in the document

Recommended Posts

I am new to the Affinity software and I am using the trial version. I am trying to add a tif file to a Designer project but as soon as I click on the file that I want to place on the open document, designer crashes. It does not gives me a log of the crash, it just simply closes up. This does not happens if I try to place jpg or pdf files.

File crashes for me too, but I cannot see the reason. IrfanView reports nothing special about this 16bit Greyscale. Resaving in AP or PS seems to heal the file.

The file has no colour profile. If you load the file normally, the dialogue box appears with the information that the greyscale profile is assigned to the file.
If you now create a new project, you can copy the previously loaded file into the new project.

I am able to produce greyscale 16bit images with no profile and they do not crash AD. The missing profile to blame was my first thought.
