rnmartinez Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I routinely use purchased stock images from depositphotos.com, and quite often when I open .eps files, they do not look anything like the thumbnails. I am prepping soem xmas promo images (I know, a bit early but what the heck) and about 3 in a row do not work; they look blurry and pixelated, or images are misaligned. I have attached some sample eps and the corresponding jpg files that simply do not work; any help would from the community would be appreciated! 338_WG1hczI3XzEx.eps1510005_Red_silver_Christmas_typography.eps oct_19_2015_03.eps
wusup Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 When I open the EPS files in an old version of Illustrator (CS6), all the layers are vector. When I open them in Designer, a significant portion of the layers are raster. Someone with more knowledge than I about working with EPS files in Designer will have to chime in on why this is occurring. Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
firstdefence Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 As with a lot of graphics on these websites they will have features that Affinity doesn't understand or cannot translate such as gradient meshes. If there are a lot of groups Affinity doesn't like it and in the bauble eps there are a shed-load of groups within groups. This is for a single bauble. I won't show you the pine branches it's too gratuitously groupy 🤯 iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
