Missing font in Affinity Publish

Recommended Posts

I have an Affinity Publish file that, whenever I open it, warns me that a font is missing.
When I select it in the Font Manager and press Locate, nothing happens.
Also, choosing a replacement font and re-saving the file does nothing, as it tells me that there is a font missing the next time I open it.
How can I clear this error?

Are you choosing it using Find and Replace?

I would try using grep

Go to the find and replace

Find

(.+)     choose the proper missing font from the list on the rightmost dropdown menu.

replace

\1         and again use a font on your computer.

Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

That seems wrong; Locate should work. I wonder if it works, though, for text on a Master Page?

Choosing a replacement in the Font Manager gives a temporary replacement just for that editing session, I think.

Using Find/Replace as Old Bruce suggests, or changing them via a Text Style, are the best ways to get a permanent replacement, in my opinion.

Yes, that’s exactly as it should be.
