Affinity Designer isometric guidelines precision

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I've recently discovered isometric guidelines in Affinity Designer and oh my that inspired me so I started to work on it. I've created a city scape with a topdown birdseye view and it's starting to look super cool. But then I zoomed in and noticed that many objects are not aligning properly to the guidelines?

It seems to fit perfectly fine, but when you zoom in, things start to get iffy. Am I doing something wrong? Can I set a certain precision somewhere? Please see attached video to see an example of the issue I am facing.

I've looked for other topics about the subject, but it seems that apart from handful old '14 topics, I couldn't really find anything related to this issue. I hope I'm just doing something wrong :)

I did that! Without snapping to the grid it's not doable. The problem is more that that snapping isn't very reliable. My snapping settings might be off?

My Grid and Axis manager settings and my Snapping Manager settings are attached. Do you see something off there perhaps?

Thanks for your help - especially on a Saturday! :)
