Lachlan
Hi - How can I adjust formatting/styling (such as colors, or visibility of an element, on a per row basis) with a data merge? If it's possible, where is the documentation I missed?
walt.farrell
Data Merge will format all rows identically. Lachlan
So, if I want to make (for instance) multiple different styles of card - such as some with green text, and some with red text, I'll need to do it as separate documents?
walt.farrell
Yes, either: Do separate Data Merge runs, with different settings to produce separate output documents, or Use Text Styles in the original document, run the Data Merge, and change the Text Style definition in the Data Merge output, and then print or export.
