anon1
As an easy example: Say I'd clip an image with an rectangle > the image is only visible inside the rectangle How could I invert it so that everything outside the rectangle is visible (I could put it on top) but I mean so that the area where the rectangle is should be transparent, like cutting the rectangle out of the image - non destructively I'd suggest to make this behaviour happen with pressing cmd I - just as a pixel mask would do I hope this is a little bit clear Shann1onKn
A_B_C
… like cutting the rectangle out of the image - non destructively … Hi MBd, simply use the Erase Blend Mode option of the Layers panel for your rectangle (or for any other shape, like the cloud shape in my example below). Please note that the shape which is set to Erase will cut through every object beneath that is contained within the same layer or group … have a look at the different layer configurations in my screen shots. Does that help? :) Cheers, Alex
anon1
Yes this came to my mind a few minutes after I submitted the post. Although I'd still find the other behaviour reasonable.
