TheMan Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Hi Folks 1. I have just downloaded Photo and it has come with a 10 days and not 90 day free trial. 2. How can I change the screen from black - very hard to read to white? Thanks in advance. TheMan

When you signed up for the 90-day free trial, you would have gotten an email with the download links, and a product key. Have you entered the product key? That would convert it from a 10-day trial to the 90-day trial. 2 hours ago, TheMan said: 2. How can I change the screen from black - very hard to read to white? In the application Preferences, User Interface (UI) section, you can switch between the Light and Dark UIs. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop 1: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. TheMan1 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Hello Walt Thanks for your help. Are you a moderator? I deleted and downloaded Photo again, installed the code and everything seems to work OK now. I opened up a file to check that things were OK and when I want to close a dialogue box says "Quitting - At least one file is currently being developed. Please complete or cancel before quitting the application". What does this mean? I can't find anything related to this. Thanks in advance.
TheMan1 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Another thing - I did a search under Help / Affinity Photo Help - for "quitting" and the result came back "Installing Fonts: How to install fonts for use with Affinity Photo"????? Any suggestions?????

You need to either Develop it, or Cancel the development. There are buttons for that on the Toolbar (or possibly the Context Toolbar; I'm away from the PC with Photo on it right now). If you're not seeing them, you may need to use View > Show Toolbar or View > Show Context Toolbar. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop 1: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. TheMan1 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Again, a multiplicity of thanks. It was a RAW photo. I usually shoot JPEG but had previously experimented with RAW. It is under View / Show / Context Toolbar. Grazia! walt.farrell 1
