semi circle / un-close path

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I want to create a semi circle with stroke / no fill. I used a circle and a rectangle then "intersect" to create the screenshot below - how do I get rid of the horizontal line so I have just the semi circle arc?

Thanks...

Why not using the Segment or the Crescent Tool, converting the segment to curves, switching to the Node Tool, holding the CTRL key pressed and click on the bottom line?

With the Node Tool active, select the nodes at each end of the straight line (either by dragging a marquee around them or by clicking on one and then Shift-clicking on the other). Click on the ‘Break’ icon on the Context toolbar to break the curve at the selected nodes to separate off the line from the rest of the shape. You can then use the Move Tool to move the line out of the way, or simply delete it.
