Jmack
What is a shape key point. There is a snapping option to snap to shape key point but setting it doesn’t seem to do anything and I can’t find key point explained anywhere in the help. Still learning the software. Thanks. walt.farrell
Good question, @Jmack. I have always assumed it was, e.g., the red dots that let you control the basic geometry of the shapes. For example, as shown in this dekstop Help article:https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_trapezoid.html I think it's similar on the iPad. It seems to refer to points related to those dots, rather than the dots themselves: walt.farrell 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 16.7.2 (iPad 7th gen)
Jmack
Thanks for your answers. Still can’t really see how key points are any different than existing nodes. Guess I just need to keep experimenting with it.
Jmack
I never have figured this out. I’ve tried everything I can and nothing seems to want to be a key point.

According to help file 'key points' on a curve show as yellow when snapping. You can see the yellow line in the attached screen recording (also the green line for comparison). what is a key point, still don’t know ☹️ IMG_7436.MP4 Paul Mudditt 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
