Find all missing links

Recommended Posts

Currently having to manually update a pile of links within a product catalogue. One feature I really miss from InDesign (sorry to swear) was the ability for the Resource Manager to find additional missing links automatically, once you'd pointed it in the right direction of just one missing link.

It would save SO much time if Publisher could tell that all the other missing images were in the same folder.

It can, but you need to know the trick.

When you Open the project, and you get the popup telling you that images are missing, do not click Resource Manager. Click Yes. When you locate one of the images, any other missing images in the same folder will be found, too.

Wish it worked like that when using the Resource Manager

The fact that threads like this keep popping up are a good example of why a button in the Resource Manager could be a good idea, especially since the functionality already is implemented (via the "Yes" button on open).

Wish it worked like that when using the Resource Manager but this is a great workaround. Thanks!

I wonder whether the devs were tempted to call it the ‘Rethink’ button!!
