RisingArmechadon Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 This is my first attempt at a black and white image, these are 2 of my cats. Thoughts and feedback much appreciated! Quote
GarryP Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 It helps to get feedback on photo manipulation work if you share both the ‘before’ and ‘after’ images. It also helps if you give some information about what you have done so people can get more of an appreciation of the work that has been put into it. Otherwise, a cynic, in this case, may just think: “Yeah, they’ve put a Black and White Adjustment over it, so what?” RisingArmechadon 1 Quote

unni Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 B&W conversion has many possibilities. various proportions of grey shades can be obtained by converting to bw using hsl/channel mixer/apply image/vibrance . it will be interesting to experiment. your image is relatively flat. i would have further adjusted for more local contrast and tonal separation. ofcourse, its a personal choice .
