My screen turned black and my toolbars are gone. Can this be undone?

My daughter pushed caps lock (and possibly something else) on my Mac while I was working in Affinity designer, and immediately all my toolbars went away.  Now I just have a black screen with the white design area showing.  Is there a way to get my toolbars back?

Try pressing the tab key

Welcome to the forums @camp☺️  Do you think she may have pressed the Tab key too?  Could you try pressing that and see whether you get everything back?

So glad it worked.  My dog’s paws are guilty of much worse on occasion — especially at his dinner time.
