Saanapix
Hi, I could not find a tutorial (on youtube) about how to remove background shadows, especially from a white background that has dark shadows behind people. I know how to remove the background completely, but was wondering if there is an easier way. Another question: How to remove glare from eyeglasses? Tried the stamp tool already.. Thanks in advance! RNKLN
The techniques shared in this video may help you removing glare. Quote Affinity Photo - Affinity Designer - Affinity Publisher | macOS Sonoma (14.2) on 16GB MBP14 2021 with 2.3 versions
GarryP
When you ask for help with techniques it’s usually very useful if people can see the image you are working with. “Background shadows” could mean all kinds of things with varying difficulties of removal. “Glare” could mean various different things, from tiny ‘pin-pricks’ of light to something covering the whole item, or even going beyond the item the “glare” affects. If we can see what you are working with we don’t have to guess and you can get an answer which better relates to the actual problem you are having rather than some imagined problem. As the saying goes: A picture paints a thousand words. lepr
Saanapix
Hi, here's the pic i'm working with. I had to hide their faces since this family did not want me to share any of their pics. Thanks!
GarryP
Thanks for that; the issues are much clearer now. The video that RNKLN linked to should help you with the glare problem. As for the shadows, that might be easy or difficult, depending on how much of the shadows you want to remove and how much of the background (e.g. folds in the cloth) you want to keep. I’m sure someone (not me, I’d just be guessing) will be able to help with that now they can see it.
