Trevor13
Hi, I'll trying to describe my issue: I have a series of vector paths (think just a group of stripes). I also have a vector diamond shape. I'd like the diamond to cut out the stripes, while preserving the vector capabilities. Masking it isn't permanent (I need to use it in another program, and it flattens the vector when exporting in any format). It doesn't give me an option to use the 'intersect' or 'subtract' tools. Any help appreciated, thanks CutoutVectorPattern.afdesign
G13RL
Hello @Trevor13, If you want to keep the diamond outline, make a copy of it before you start. Ungroup the lines, "Layer", "Expand Stroke", "Add". Then select the set (the lines and the diamond) and do the desired Boolean operation. Paste the previously copied diamond if necessary (I didn't do it in my examples). Trevor13
Thanks for your suggestion! That worked, but my original intent was to keep the pattern as single lines, without expanding the stroke. Was hoping there was a way to do that.
