Pyanepsion
Hi everyone. I have made a book that is automatically numbered from page 1 to page 140. For the publisher's own reasons, two plates with special dimensions must now be added before page 1. The first plate corresponds to the dimensions of a double page: it is the cover (4th, back, 1st). The second plate corresponds to the dimensions of a single page: this is the front cover. Where it gets complicated is that the original numbering must not be lost. The new page 3, for example, should keep its old page number 1, and the same goes for all the other pages, which are now really 3 to 142, but should show 1 to 140, including in the table of contents. What is the best way to do this? Thank you for your explanations. walt.farrell
Section Manager. You're new pages must be a separate section, and your existing pages would be in section 2, which would physically start on page 3 and have a starting page number of 1 for page numbering purposes. Pyanepsion
This is the first time I've been faced with the unlikely situation of having to add non-book pages to a book. I should have thought it was a kind of section after all, even though I very rarely have them. Thank you, Walt, for that reminder.
