evtonic3
Why in the Highlight of Outer bevel when set to NORMAL blend mode it is really transparent in the FX panel? I can't make it a solid opaque color, the background always shows through.

Because obviously that's the 3D nature of the Bevel/Emboss effect. Also, all other parameters matter as well. This is possibly close to what you're trying to achieve, right? Note the depth and direction values. evtonic3 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
loukash
You might get better results by using the 3D effect with multiple light sources, adding an outside vector stroke to extend the effect beyond the fill, and then fine tune all parameters until it fits & sits: But then again, perhaps it's faster just to duplicate layers and compose them by clipping/cropping/nesting/grouping etc. Also, it always depends on what your intended output format and medium will be. evtonic3 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
