bchgor1959
I'm having ongoing difficulty with Affinity Photo or Publisher 1.9.2 or 1.9.1 opening (from the Affinity store) on Windows 7, Service Pack 1 on my laptop. When I downloaded the version Photo 1.9.1 a prompt came up to 'Update', I clicked on it, then another prompt came up 'Setup failed, a newer version is already installed'. Before I ran the version 1.9.1 I had deleted the previously downloaded version 1.9.2. I just bought the Affinity Photo & Publisher 2 days ago and not sure if I'm going to be able to use it. I am new to the newer artwork graphics programs currently available, as years ago I had Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. I cannot afford their prices now with monthly fees, then I found Affinity. I have never worked so hard with a program before to get it to work. I'm a home-crafter making items that I need a good program to manipulate art/photos, etc., maybe Affinity is too much?? I'd appreciate any assistance that I can get in order to get this to work. I had projects set & ready to go, but I am at a standstill. Trying to be patient. What does it say when you click on the ‘Click here for more information’ link? By the way, you’ll get better screenshots if you use the Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch instead of pointing a digital camera at the screen. Apparently, you did not delete it correctly given the messages you're getting. You might try running the Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter. Why are you trying to revert from 1.9.2 to an earlier release? With the help of another forum supporter, @walt.farrell advised to go into 'Microsoft Uninstall Troubleshooter' & I uninstalled it property. Installed both current versions 1.9.2 Affinity Photo & Designer & I am now completely set-up. I ty very much for all of your assistance.
