When I export a publisher file as a PDF it appears to copy OK but when I open the PDF only the first page appears. I must be doing something stupid as I have tried different files with same result

You say you open a publisher file, are you using Publisher to open it? To export all pages you need to use Publisher.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

@jonnsin,

Do you see this window when you use Publisher to open the PDF file? And have you tried using Preview to open the PDF? Note that I have the Load all pages option marked.

On PDF options only page 1 appears ( in both AP and preview) and therefore the load pages and load all pages are unavailable. It seem that of the 6 trial pages in my file only one is being copied as a PDF.  Simplest  six page file was created in the usual way thru the AP new doc procedure.

The simplest explanation then may be that when you Exported the PDF you only asked for 1 page to be included.

If you open your original .afpub file (with 6 pages) and Export to PDF again, do you get the same 1-page PDF file as a result? If so, can you show us a screenshot of your Export dialog?

The only way I can get what you are describing is by having a 1 (one) in the Pages: area. Then regardless of what I choose in Area: I will get the first page and only the first page. Delete the 1 (one) and I can get all spreads/pages what ever I choose.

Success! Grateful thanks for restoring my sanity. I certainly thought that  page numbers were required here. Why have it when leaving blank is the answer. Tried other files and got usable PDF files from them too.

Affinity should have you on the payroll.
